History

As the birthplace of the winter holiday, the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz has been known for its “firsts” since its establishment in 1864. Switzerland’s first electric light was switched on here in 1879, and the first Winter Olympics, staged in1928, was opened in the Kulm Park. Today the hotel’s modern amenities and contemporary comfort gracefully complement the splendid Gründerzeit-style interior.
